Greetings from Nicaragua!! My internet was spotty yesterday and I couldnt post my journal entry. Here it is this morning. ~Tracie S: John 11:1-44 Jesus Heals Lazarus O: Jesus waits to go back to Bethany to see Mary and Martha and heal Lazarus so that people could see Gods glory. He gets there to heal Lazarus and encounters Ls sisters stricken with grief. A: Jesus waited 4 days to return to see Lazarus so that people would see the glory of God. So that people would see Gods power and authority, even over death. But at the same time Jesus sees Mary and Martha wailing and mourning their brother. Jesus feels deeply for them and grieves with them. Why? He KNOWS Hes going to heal him. Why would he also be moved to grief? Because of His extreme and passionate love for us. His radical devotion to us. His deep desire for relationship. Jesus loves us, this I know. For the Bible tell me so. Little ones to Him belong. We are weak and He is strong. My friends....dont miss Christs devotion and love for you. You matter to Him and He loves you deeply. P: Oh Lord, thank you for Your love and desire for a relationship with us. May we take notice of this love and grace and turn our eyes towards You. I adore You, Father.
