Greetings from smoky Rancho Bernardo, California! If youve been watching The Weather Channel, youve probably seen the wildfires...which are about 5 miles from where Im staying! I can see the smoke, and the water-bomber planes and helicopters are going right over the hotel, but we appear to be safe....for now. :>) I left home at 1:30 AM...drove to DFW for a 6 AM flight to Salt Lake...which was delayed 40 min. due to the bad weather in DFW last night (crews were late getting in), and then the short hop from SLC to LAX...followed by 30 min. sitting on the taxiway at LAX...our gate still had a plane there, waiting on paperwork. Then a beautiful drive down the coast before turning inland toward Escondido and finally to Rancho Bernardo. Yep...Im tired..even thoug I slept and/or dozed all the way to SLC and most ofthe way to LAX. ZZZzzzzzzz
