Greetings from the Pastor, Fr. Louis Petruha, OFM, Cap . In keeping with the parish as a home for the ‘soul’ a number of events catch my eye. First, we have the Rededication of our School in celebration of its 100 years-teaching the Gospel. Come to that celebration today at 2 o’clock. Following the Service you will have an opportunity to tour the School facility. Especially notable is the new statue of the Holy Family and the redecorated Lobby! See what a blessing we have in this school and what it continues to be! Secondly, there are opportunities for human and spiritual growth to help you learn more about the Bible, to reconcile your life after divorce or separation or to prepare to come into the Catholic Church. Consult the bulletin today and let the Spirit move you to make a choice. And lastly, we look forward to the Celebration of the Friars’ 35 years of Presence in our Parish. The Pastoral Council has organized this event. Bishop Gainer will celebrate the 5:00 PM Mass together with Capuchin Friars who have served in our parish. All of this happens on the Feast of St. Francis, October 4th, a Saturday. In the Morning at 9:00 AM, we will host the traditional Blessing of Pets. Naturally, this will take place in the Bell Tower Courtyard, with the statue of St. Francis. Fr. Louis
