Greetings from the Smiths! We just picked up the Minnesota Travco. The guy selling her rebuilt the brake system, replaced the tires and endless other things for us to get her roadworthy. There are good folks in this world and we lucked out with this guy. He picked us up at the airport in our Travco! We could see her coming a mile away! Ha. Our destination is Charlotte. Weve named her Mabel. Because she looks like one. Mabels a quirky girl...She wanted to kill us in Indianapolis and then tried to commit suicide headlong into a bog while Papaw was in the rest area. (Reminder, dont forget the brake). I was in charge of holding up the hood of the engine to try to get her to cool off and the road underneath started moving. Yikes. We made it to a little town in Ohio (I think its Brigadoon because it appeared out of nowhere when Mabel heaved her last breath.). Papaw is replacing the spark plugs and a couple other things before we embark on the last 7 hours and 43 minute journey to her new home. She has a date with the Buffing Man, The Restoring Man and the Renovating Man. We will keep you up to date on The Many Adventures of Mabel! To be continued.
