Greetings from the South Carolina Army National Guard Education - TopicsExpress

Greetings from the South Carolina Army National Guard Education Services Office. The College Assistance Program (CAP) is a program that provides State Tuition Assistance to our Soldiers that attend academic institutions within the State of South Carolina. CAP is limited to pursuing a first Associates or Bachelors Degree. The College Assistance Program (CAP)has an application window from June 1 through August 1 of each academic year. This is the only window in which you can submit CAP applications to the Education Services Office for processing. In conjunction with the Commission on Higher Education we have decided to create a grace period that Soldiers can apply for the College Assistance Program (CAP) for the Spring Semester of 2014. We will only accept CAP applications for Spring Semester of 2014 from November 1, 2013 through November 31, 2013. Please be advised that this is only a grace period for 2013 only and will not occur in the future. Our office will not be accepting CAP applications that are faxed, mailed, or hand delivered due to tracking purposes. CAP applications will ONLY be accepted via the following email address: [email protected] We are requesting all of your help to disseminate this message as widely as possible to our Soldiers in the field. CAP is an excellent opportunity for our Soldiers to take advantage of as they pursue their academic endeavors. With your assistance we can make sure that all our Soldiers in the field do not miss out on this benefit. Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you have any questions or concerns. Respectfully, Deborah A. Glenn CW2, AV, SCARNG Interim Education Services Officer Please visit our Education Page located on the South Carolina Information Portal (SCIP) under the Army Staff Tab as well as our Education page on scguard.
