Greetings inspiring artists! This is a work in progress.... Question is- how do I treat it? This is an ocean drum, but Im not sure what the head is made of, (dont believe its animal skin). I know the magical powers of oxidizing, but Im not confident those lil staining molecules have really penetrated the skin.... Do I scrape, hope for help from oxygen, then seal with ...? Or do I just try to seal with the paste on? (And what, prey tell, do I use?!) The main function of the drum is the ocean sounds, so it would be okay if I could no longer play the face.
