Greetings my Sister Alumnae, Happy Feast Day- the Foundation Day for the Order of St. Ursula. Today all our students and teachers are living out our SERVIAM Motto by going out into the community and completing a Service Day. Some students are at local schools tutoring while others are making sandwiches for the homeless. A group is writing cards for Veterans and a group is working with our neighbors at Serviam Gardens. Plus others will be going to Andrus on Hudson Senior Care Facility to visit the Ursuline Sisters and perform their dances from our International Night 2014. Friday was the 33rd International Night here at AMSU and it was a wonderful success. Many families were here enjoying the show and our young women danced, sang, read poetry and played instruments from their native cultures and through the decades. So inspirational to see!! Tomorrow, we will celebrate our Thanksgiving Mass together, have our Quarter 1 Honors Assembly and watch a documentary on Immigration put on by a Barnard student. We are keeping to our traditions of Academics, Arts and Service. The entire AMSU school community wishes you a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving. We at AMSU are thankful for the continued support of our alumnae sisters. AMSU is very lucky to have great women representing them as students and alumnae.
