Greetings to all of our facebook friends. Here is a question - TopicsExpress

Greetings to all of our facebook friends. Here is a question and food for thought. We have noticed since moving from one region of the country to another, several of the preachers, whether Apostles, Bishops or Pastors seem to loosely use the word hell when teaching, preaching or counseling to either the laity or other clergy. Now from our ministerial teaching and training many years ago our findings is this word is only used in the bible to describe an actual place of torment. When we hear the word it is not being described as such. We hear well h_____ I will just say it or what in the h_ _ _ were they doing. They put me through h_ _ _ , you or they gave me h_ _ _etc. Although this word is not being used directly against people in a mean connotation, it is not being used in the connotation as scripture describes either. The bible clearly shares in James 3:9, 10 - Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. Many years ago the standards of holiness were stern, true, honorable and challenged men and women of God to a level of integrity and accountability and standards even in our speech. Today there are many changes or conformity which is smoothly and cunningly entering into the household of faith as merely being a way of life and ministry. We have noticed words which were not tolerated in days of old are merely being excused with people using this cliche Oh that is legalistic or religious. PLEASE, men and women of God, we must maintain our stance on righteousness, goodness, faith as well as what we speak. Whether we are addressing one another in the faith or the sinner on the street. When we open our mouths as Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Preachers, Teachers or Helps etc we are accountable to what we speak, think or feel. If we begin to water-down our approach when speaking, how will we draw people to the kingdom of God? How will we strengthen the weaker brethren who may be wounded in the body? To what level of anointing and the manifestation of the presence of God do we want the people to see in and through us if our words are beginning to show compromise? What is your thought on this? Blessings. I love you all and respect your comments highly. I salute you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Pastors Dwayne and Alecia
