Greetings to the St. Anthony of Padua Family, We are very happy to approach the holiest week of the year, starting with Hosanna Sunday and ending with the celebration of Jesus Christs Resurrection from the dead. We are blessed to have newly ordained Fr. Wissam Akiki lead us in this most blessed Holy Week. As many of you know Fr. Wissam is the first married man to be ordained to the priesthood in the United States in nearly 100 years. Though he will only be with us for a short time, this is his first assignment as a priest. On his behalf I, Subdeacon Tom, can state to all that he is very happy to be with us. We welcome Fr. Wissam, and his family with open and loving arms. During Holy Week, Fr. Wissam will be visiting and taking communion to all the ill, he will be available everyday before and after liturgies for all to have their confessions heard, spiritual advice, and all other priestly duties. Please join us starting on Hosanna Sunday, April 13th at 10:30 A.M. for the Divine Liturgy / Mass, followed by a brunch. Please RSVP for details on the brunch.
