Greetings to you all. As we close out the year and get ready for the new year, many set up resolutions for the coming year. We need to say only what we mean and not what you think others want to hear. Mean what you say and do it in all things. Matthew 5:33-37 “And don’t say anything you don’t mean. This counsel is embedded deep in our traditions. You only make things worse when you lay down a smoke screen of pious talk, saying, ‘I’ll pray for you,’ and never doing it, or saying, ‘God be with you,’ and not meaning it. You don’t make your words true by embellishing them with religious lace. In making your speech sound more religious, it becomes less true. Just say ‘yes’ and ‘no.’ When you manipulate words to get your own way, you go wrong. Ecclesiastes 5:4-7 When you tell God you’ll do something, do it—now. God takes no pleasure in foolish gabble. Vow it, then do it. Far better not to vow in the first place than to vow and not pay up. Don’t let your mouth make a total sinner of you. When called to account, you won’t get by with “Sorry, I didn’t mean it.” Why risk provoking God to angry retaliation? But against all illusion and fantasy and empty talk. There’s always this rock foundation: Fear God! So often people get caught up in the moment and say they will do things, but when the time comes that emotional outburst is forgotten and the very thing you were going to do does not get done. Sad part is, is that we let others down when we dont fulfill what we said we would do. Think about your words wisely and then do it, otherwise be silent. We must honor God in our actions so honor God with your words and let your yes mean yes. Be the example and light to those in your life and church just as Jesus is our light and guiding source. God bless you all and have a great day. Stephen Here is I will follow by Chris Tomlin https://youtube/watch?v=-XnPL3LtxpA
