Greg I on of our divers sent thidd from his trip............. Hello all. I thought you might be interested in the following video link that shows our recent release of the endangered fish species P. Saulosi back into the wild at Taiwan Reef in Lake Malawi. For those not familiar Malawi is an East African country and Lake Malawi is bordered by the countries of Malawi, Tanzania and Mozambique. The lake is 365 miles long and 52 miles at its widest point. Expedition members were from the U.K., Australia, Canada and the U.S. Our base camp was in Senga Bay, Lake Malawi near the fish breeding facility. We arrived at Taiwan Reef after a six hour (rather bumpy) van ride and subsequent five hours in a boat. The following video starts by showing the fish in bags at the surface. We then submerged to the top of the reef 35 feet below. This particular video (there were several photographers who came along) was shot by Pete Barnes from England and was edited by Ad Konings, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ad_Konings a world renowned African Cichlid expert. In the video I am on the left next to expedition leader Larry Johnson.
