Greta Van Susteren: President Obama wants Congress to give him 3.7 BILLION dollars for the immigration crisis at the border. How did he arrive at that number of 3.7 BILLION? pull it out of a hat? or careful consideration and analysis of real needs and costs? I know what I think. I am not opposed to paying for a crisis or even helping people but I dont want to be stupid about it. I would like to know how President arrived at the amount 3.7 BILLION - I would like it reasonably itemized - what needs and what the cost is. I dont want our government to just grab big numbers out of a hat and throw taxpayer money around -- how about you? I would also like some competitive bidding where possible so that I know we are making smart decisions with taxpayer money. The problem with Washington - and there are many - is that they are not smart about how they spend taxpayer money. They just spend it. They say they need it, taxpayers ok it via their Representatives and then the recipients spend every dime never looking for the best deal...and they spend every cent, never trying to save money and return excess to the taxpayer.
