Grew up watching Bill Bonds. Channel 7 ABC was the news channel our house because Dad worked for ABC Radio. I had an opportunity to meet Bonds twice, both in the last 10 years. Once was in a discussion with a group of mutual friends, another time he came to the Detroit Athletic Club to hear a speaker at the Thursday lunch time group called The Beavers. It was sad to hear him as the pitchman for a furniture store at the end of his life. As a kid Bill Bonds was bigger than life. Rest in Peace Bill. https://youtube/watch?v=TtyXEPhWJGg
