Group Input Needed: Heres one for the group. My ex & I got summoned for small claims court because he was not paying the court ordered loans. He didnt show, so I had to agree to pay to keep my credit good (plus it cost me due to missing work). I took him to court for contempt (cost me time and attorney fees). He doesnt show. Judge orders him to pay loan within 30 days or 10 days jail. Attorney charges to write up order and send to court for filing. Court signs order, sends it back to Attorney, Attorney charges to serve exN. Meanwhile, he takes me to court for CAT and sheriff in the room arrest him after court, he gets one night and girlfriend bails him out. Now hes behind again and I am paying bank again. Each time it cost me for missing work, attorney time and he only got one night. What a joke! Anyone want to make some money because I d love to fire my attorney who in the midst of this had us sent to mediation. That didnt work of course so now we are in the middle of a CAT. Do I bother to hold him in contempt again?
