Group input needed: Hi. My BFF is an amazing woman. Both of our exs are N, but hers makes mine look dreamy. She is really in an awful situation right now. Since divorcing many years ago, she has decided to no longer be a Jehovahs Witness. Recently her 14yo has decided he does not want to be a JW either. But her ex, who lives out of state and is still a Witness, refuses to accept his choice. N dad practices emotionally abusive and offensively bullying tactics every time he has the boys trying to ensure they stay the course. So much of it seems like scary cult/brainwashing activity. He calls his son shaming, emasculating names trying to manipulate him. He says awful things to the boys about their mother. The 14 yo has developed crippling anxiety and gets physically sick every time he has to visit his father. He gets migraines as well as asthma and panic attacks. They will undoubtedly end up back in court. Im wondering if anyone else has any experience with a N ex who is a Jehovahs Witness. My heart just aches for them. Thank you for any help or suggestions.
