Group input needed: Ive been reading your blog and some other posts on here. I am currently 5 months in to a custody battle with an undiagnosed but im absolutely certain sociopath, narcissist and pathological liar. Unfortunately the judge and even the mediator seems more concerned with fair parenting time then best interest of child. Now hes gone from never having our child on his own to 8 hour visits 3 days a week and every other weekend. Needless to say our son is struggling. Its so sad and difficult to watch. I feel so helpless. My lawyer requested a custody evaluation and the judge reluctantly agreed to a brief focused evaluation. I am relieved. We start meeting with the psychologist next week. Im confident and scared at the same time that finally someone will see through his lies and stop putting my son through what I call my Exs attempt to pay me back for breaking up with him. Any advice would be appreciated. Im remaining strong for my son and just hope that at the end of this all, that all the tears he has shed when I hand him over to his dad, will be a forgotten memory and he will grow up to be a healthy bright child. I know I have to believe that the psychologist is trained to see personality disorders, but he can be so charming.. Any advice... (I obviously left out details but only because then this would be a novel) I havent discussed with many people about what Ive been going through so staying anonymous for now is a must. Thank you for sharing your story and I have so much hope after seeing your outcome.
