Mach 1 Mud Run It would be pretty hard to reach Mach 1 speeds sludging through a pit of mud. The Mach 1 Mud Run is actually named for its beneficiary, the Corona Pilots Association at the Corona Municipal Airport, which is in regular need of improvements thanks to its location in a natural flood plain. Participants can help raise those funds by signing up for the race, which is 3.5-mile course complicated by professionally-built obstacles and mud pits.
