Growing up, I used to bully kids at school. I didnt have any anger - TopicsExpress

Growing up, I used to bully kids at school. I didnt have any anger in me, or any problems at home, I simply did it to make others laugh and get attention. One day someone is gonna beat your ass is all I heard during my youth and teen years. I would never actually physically hurt anyone, unless of course I had to, but I would crack jokes and ridicule kids for my own self amusement, and eventually I realized that verbal bullying is often worse than actually beating someone up. I was always that good looking (conceited) popular guy who everyone knew. I had no insecurities so I had no idea what it felt like to be made fun of. But that soon changed. When I turned like 21/22, I was living with my girlfriend at the time, and I started gaining a lot of weight. I went from 180 to 280 in just a few months. That experience destroyed my self esteem. Friends made fun of me, and everyone I ran into seemed to point out my weight gain. I simply gave up, and let go of myself. I then became angry, depressed and abusive towards my girlfriend. I never smiled, rarely laughed and was self conscious about everything. Eventually, I was able to lose weight and regain my self esteem, and soon I realized that life is better enjoyed when were kind to each other. Now Im in a position where Im able to give advice to thousands of people world wide, and help teens identify with their inner beauty. So dont be a bully to others, but most importantly, dont be a bully to yourself. Youre all beautiful, even if others fail to realize it. #truth #share
