Growing up a PK, Preachers Kid, I have heard a lot of sermons: from my dad and from guest preachers; most have been good ones, but some not so much. There are around 8-10 that have really stayed ingrained in my memory because they were so relevant and well-presented. Tonight I heard one by a preacher from Mexico City and its probably the best one from someone other than my dad. Without going into details, suffice it to say that it will have a long-lasting impact in my own thinking and doing as I plunge into the world of pastoral ministry. It was very so comforting to be reminded that God calls individuals into the ministry based on what He wants to and can accomplish and not on what we can accomplish. To think otherwise is foolishness and flat out unbiblical. Looking forward to what I am going to be taught tomorrow.
