Growing up in Wilson, OK was a great experience. We were ALL poor but we didnt know it. If we saw someone wearing one shoe, we didnt ask them if they Lost one, we asked them if they Found one !! Mr. Hull was a master at getting surplus items for FREE for the school. Well, he came back from OKC with ten old used mattresses and a whole bunch of boxing gloves. We were in boxing heaven ! We put those mattresses wall-to-wall in one of the rooms at the old Southward School. We laced up the boxing gloves and we went at it ! Any time there was a fight, disagreement, confrontation, or anything else on the playground, it was off to the musty smelling boxing room. PROBLEM SOLVED !!!
