Growing up my mom used to make and decorate cakes professionally. I always had the best birthday cake no matter what theme I was into! Today I am making minnion cakes for Pax... I have two styles baking in the oven. I will be using my moms old tips and bag when it comes time to frost the minnions... And, as I try to celebrate my sons birthday I hold my mothers tools in my hands, the skills she taught me in my heart and an incredible sorrow of not knowing where she is right now, if she is OK or if she has safe, adequate shelter.
