Growing up wasnt easy. I may not agree with how hard you were at times, but I realize now that you raised me the best you knew how. For that I am grateful. You inspired love, loyalty, and fear around those who worked for and with you. I know you were the whipping boy many times and I will always admire how you kept your head down and carried on despite the mountains you faced. You made it your career to keep us safe and were an incredible provider. Despite our differences, you were always there to literally pick me up from the floor every time my heart was broken and life didnt seem worth living. When things got really rough, anger and disappointment aside, you sat beside me and said we would get through it together every time. As a child (and teenager), looking up at her father, you were indomitable. You are a rare breed. Only girls who have fathers like you will understand what I am talking about. Thank you for your courage, continued strength, the wisdom you still share, and for loving me almost to a fault. There have been many people in and out of my life, boyfriends and what not, but you will always be THE MAN in my life. Oh, and thanks for marrying mom (the ultimate shield maiden). Because you know youd be totally lost without her. And quite frankly shes the reason you have such good-looking kids and grandsons! Love you old man. Happy Fathers Day! Louie Pamintuan
