School-vacations were fun-filled...as I would meet my father then..and we both would enjoy a lot...recollects Amit Kumar...as he speaks to the media about his father and the Legendary Singer Kishore Kumar..We were then residing in Seksaria Colony…where right now the Horizon Hotel is located. At that time small hutments were available over there for holidays...All the star-kids would assemble over there...Chintu..Suniel...Monty..Prem Kishan (Dev Anand,Raj Kapoor and Premnath’s children)...Baba would celebrate my birthday over there with much fun and frolic...We would have lot of fun. Baba would then show us all the Disney cartoons on the projector....and there would be delicious food to accompany...Baba would possibly get all the cartoon movies for me...Most of them...and then we both would watch them on the projector...Imagine...in those days we had a 16 m.m projector at home..Watching his movies was my favorite time-pass..He was my hero after all!..Baap Re Baap...Naukri…Bhai Bhai were my favorite movies. Ha..Ha..I must have almost rehearsed these movies..All..dialogues and its music et all!...I was madly in love with Mumbai since then..Now it has been almost over 40 years for me residing here...still many a times I walk on the roads..where I and Baba sometimes would go for a walk..That was totally a mesmerizing time..that I spent with him…My childhood…was my golden period with Baba..and I can always say...I had the best of it!…The depth and dimension of...the father and son relationship..cannot be described in words…It was something else more above friendship and companionship. Best friends..as they always remained..The best buddies..Fortunately one gets that kind of relationship in a lifetime….but when you get…It is always cherished forever in all the sweet-sour memories as a golden treasure…!!!
