Gtu Innovation Council 10 S4 extension centers in 5 Zones in next semester: 2.00 Crore INR support to these 10 S4 extension centers targeting support activities to GTU students aspiring to start start up The activity centre will be set up under the aegis of S4 program and will be known as S4 Extension Centre. This centre will be located within the premises of a host institution and the host institution will take steps to carry out the agenda of this program. The program by the host institute will be run in coordination with the local Sankul committee. The university will select ten such centres to take up such a program.A total of five activities will be taken up per batch in each semester at this centre. These activities will be batch specific. Additionally another three activities will be taken up that will bring together. Therefore a total of twenty five events would be held each year. The target audience will be students of all the years across all branches/departments ( BE, ME, MBA, MCA, Diploma, Pharmacy). The students attending the activities will also include the students of nearby GTU institutes along with host college. The five activities taken up during each of the semesters and will be suited to the maturity level of each year. The activities for the first year will be more elementary level such as life stories of entrepreneurs while the activities for the senior student batches will be more advanced level. for e.g. learning how to get funded. § The host institution through this program will work towards building a local entrepreneurial ecosystem. § The centre will also build the capacity of the local participating GTU institutes. § The extension centre will also work closely in cooperation with other GTU initiatives/programs to bring greater value addition to the S4 centre virtual incubatees. § The extension centre will also connect complementary organizations working in the entrepreneurship field to the local constituent colleges. § All the flagship activities of the S4 will be replicated in the local institutes The activities will cover the various phases of the entrepreneurial value chain like inspiration/motivating entrepreneurs, product conceptualization/ideation, product development, market entry, market traction, funding, scaling up, mentorship etc. The activities will be modeled on the following activity template: Speakers Session ( Startup ecosystem stakeholders like Industry Speakers, Co-Founders, Enterpreneur who can share their insights/stories), Sector specific start up demo (exhibition) - (Creation of Demos, Simulation softwares to be created, intoduction to new models and resources accessible), Co creating the concepts (mixing the teams), Angel Investor-Venture Capitalists-Private Equity connect (Venture funding industry professionals come and interact), Social media and its use for start ups (Educating with the basics of IT knowledgre, cheap marketing techniques), How to make create Word of Mouth publicity (Introducing the marketing concepts, demo on olinepayments, understanging the power of WOM, sample books).
