Guard your belief system and be slow to allow cavalier teachers from having it. Usually the theological kicks that they get on are nothing more than a way to distinguish themselves from those who have hurt them or those they are competing with--a means of identity and recognition, you see. They churn up unfamiliar theological concepts unknown to their camp to sound deep or enlightened and they enjoy the criticism of those who criticize them. Just remember: be slow to follow anything that seems new or any teacher who makes a show of what he or she believes. It may not be that they actually believe it as much as it is that they want you to believe in them. :)
