Guardianship of the Galaxy: It kind of amazes me to see Chris Pratt go from playing way out of shape Andy Dwyer on Parks and Rec to being the lead in a Marvel summer blockbuster. The film is definitely out there and Marvel took a chance on this property that isnt well known and it payed off. The film has a great cast including Pratt, Zoe Saldana, John C. Reilly, and Dave Bautista is able to hold his own. Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper voice two of my favorite characters Groot and Rocket. Those two characters made the film for me. The movies very funny, has great action scenes, and has memorable characters. Props also goes out to Michael Rooker who does a great job in his outlaw role. Director James Gunn who also do wrote the script, knocks it out of the park and its very much deserved. In all seriousness if this movie bombed, which if you look at the box office the film clearly didnt, it wouldnt be a big loss for Marvel. This movie is the closest to a real stand alone film in the Marvel universe. Grade: A- Post credit scenes are both really funny. The 2nd scene after the credits I thought was really funny but besides 1 other person no one in my theater didnt think it was that funny.
