Guess it is back to the John Wayne Theme around here. Our latest little guest is little RUBEN. Yes U.S. MARSHALL RUBEN J.(ROOSTER) COGBURN. From the movie TRUE GRIT. See we have the one eyed cat here named COGBURN. I have ROOSTER at home and another cat that was adopted from here was given the name GENERAL STERLING PRICE ( the name of the cat in the movie TRUE GRIT.) My cat and GENERAL STERLING PRICE, have all their eyes though. We just like John Wayne movies. Our newest guest RUBEN is a small kitten who was a city stray, Ruben was brought to the shelter by the city police officer. I got to the shelter shortly after Ruben was dropped off, Deb had him all wrapped up in blanket and said he needed to get to the vet right away. So I took him. Little Ruben has a cold and is thin. Ruben is on meds for his cold and eye meds to clear up his good eye. In a week if he has shown signs of improvement they will do surgery to remove his left eye. Im hoping that Rubens eye injury is because of an ACCIDENT. Just a accident nothing else. It will be a long healing process, but if we all pull for little Ruben, I know he can make a full recovery. You see Little Ruben here deserves a second chance, because from the time Deb had him wrapped up in the blanket and while I held him and drove him to the vet and carried him in the building. Ruben was PURRING. Ruben come back from the vet, got a nice warm bubble bath, dryed off real nice, and got his meds and is sitting in a nice warm bed with a warming disc. Some of the pictures of Ruben are kind of nasty, but he has the best personality, When he is all handsome your going to love him. Hey I will love him then, cause I love him now. This little kitten really does have TRUE GRIT !!!!!!!! Wouldnt some one find the love for Ruben??? Ruben was born 8/11/14.
