Guess what?! Ive been invited to lead a group coaching programme for Emerging Women Leaders working in International Development!!! Im SO excited to be able to merge my passion for coaching with my experience in Intl Dev. Details below: Emerging Women Leaders is a program that brings together talented, energetic and mission oriented women who are are purposeful in how they spend their time and what contributions they want to make through their lives and careers. They are committed to being their best selves and equally committed to supporting other women in doing the same. EWLs lead projects and teams in dynamic organizations across North America. And, to my delight, they are now opening a cohort exclusively for women working in international development! Needless to say, I am very excited to be a part of this. We are currently looking for women who are looking to develop career strategies, meaningful relationships, and want to emerge from this coaching experience as high impact leaders. The cohort that we are recruiting for (it is application-based) is scheduled to begin in September and there are still a few spaces to fill. Here are the official details (including information on the other cohorts offered): Emerging Women Leaders is a coaching circle for mission-oriented professional women to develop career strategies, develop professional networks and emerge as high-impact leaders. Applications for the upcoming cohorts are due August 18th. Who is it for? Young professional women in their mid-twenties to mid-thirties with strong leadership potential. Upcoming cohorts include: EWL for Nonprofit & Government Rising Leaders; Coach: Jen Walper Roberts, MPA, CTACC, Meetings Wednesday evenings at 8:30pm EST (GMT sessions still TBD) EWL for Social Work Professionals; Coach: Amy Haynes, MSW, CTACC, Meetings Tuesday evenings, 8:30pm EST (GMT sessions still TBD) EWL for International Development Professionals; Coach: Alexandra Hughes, MPhil, Development Studies, CPCP, Tuesday evenings, 8:30pm EST (GMT sessions still TBD) What will you get? EWL is a unique and intense leadership and career development immersion program that you participate in from the comfort of your own home, in the evening, after work. You will work with five other talented women, and an experienced leadership development coach to design your own strategic plan and successfully implement it. The outcomes of the program include: ~A strengths and values based, personal and professional strategic plan ~A powerful structure to support the successful refinement and implementation your plan ~A deep network of young professional women from your circle and program alumnae within a range of sectors who share a commitment to high-impact leadership and having a purposeful career and life. ~Quality training and coaching from an experienced career coach and leadership consultant How does it work? The coaching circle has five core components: ~The collaborative development of a personal and professional strategic plan. ~One on one strategy sessions with a professional coach – a certified career and leadership coach – with whom you will create a professional strategic plan. ~Group sessions, all done by conference call, in which you will gain access to a group of women who serve as their own Board of Directors for their lives and careers. In turn, you will also serve as a Board of Director member in support of the other women in the circle. Each circle member will also be matched with a buddy for accountability, brainstorming, and to explore your big questions. ~Leadership and professional development seminars – Your coach will conduct seminars to support the successful implementation of your strategic plan. The seminars build on your strengths, broaden and deepen your professional relationships, develop your habits, and clarify your goals. How do you enroll? Candidates are required to submit an application which the coach will provide upon request. The coach speaks to each interested candidate before she applies to pre-screen whether the program would be a good fit. Coaching is highly personal, so it is helpful for candidates to set up an appointment to speak with the coach and get a personal sense of the program. Prospective candidates are encouraged to attend an upcoming introductory session conference call. A detailed syllabus will be provided with the application.
