Guest Reviewer: Melissa King Product: Evolvh Ultrashine Moisture Conditioner Rating: 3 1/2 (out of 5 stars) Conditioners are probably my greatest addiction when it comes to hair products because I have long wavy/curly hair. As any curly girl will tell you, our hair sucks up moisture and just won’t play nice if it doesn’t get plenty of nutrient rich conditioning on a regular basis. So needless to say I’m pretty picky when it comes to conditioners. Once again I was impressed with Evolvh’s ability to use completely clean, all natural organic ingredients. I previously reviewed the shampoo from their line and noticed that I’d definitely want a richer conditioner because the shampoo gave a squeakier clean than I was used to and could lead to more bushy curls if I’m not careful. This conditioner had a similar fresh laundry scent, like the shampoo, which isn’t my favorite but it is light enough it doesn’t linger that much. Because of the ingredients this line is made with, you will notice that it doesn’t coat hair like artificial ingredients do. You may feel like your hair sucked up all the conditioner and you need more, but control your impulse, because you really don’t need anymore than you’d normally use. I’d suggest leaving the conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing out. Then you will notice more of that silky, just conditioned effect you’re used to. Overall, I was a little underwhelmed by this conditioner at first. Though after prolonged use I began to like it more. My hair started to improve in health and manageability. If you are going for a volumizing conditioner that will not weigh down your hair down this may be a good option for you. I would have probably given this conditioner a 4 or 5 star rating if it was a little less pricey and/or richer. This could all be solved with a once a week treatment masque, or leave in conditioner, but I prefer to not have to have extra steps all the time. For $25 for 8.5 ounces I’d only recommend the splurge for people with fine hair or for those that will spend the extra funds on a weekly treatment masque and/or a leave in conditioner in addition to this conditioner.
