Guided Spirit Walks at Victoria Lawn Cemetery – Jane’s Story Some years following the First World War (1914-1918) Jane continues to visit the family and friends she had lost during the conflict. Like many other families, Jane’s family was broken after the war. Her father and brother never returned home. She likes to remember the stories as she walks through the rows of headstones of friends and loved ones, trying not to forget. As we join her on her regular rounds, we will meet a diverse group of friends. Some will share stories with us of times they personally became involved in the war and some will appear as memories of Jane, run-ins from the past. Jane will take you through the experience of the First World War from a St. Catharines perspective; a perspective that features hope, passion, sorrow, duty, pride, sadness, loss and love. Spirit Walks take place this weekend on Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6 at 6:00 and 7:00 pm, as well as next weekend (Sept. 12 & 13).
