Guidelines for “Beautify Goshen” Trash Disposal Program May 3 and May 5 through May 10 Goshen city residents bring your trash, tires, electronics and old appliances to the Goshen Street Department May 3 through May 10. The hours are Saturdays, 7am to 3pm and during the week 7am to 6pm. • The Street Department will accept the non-hazardous refuse such as furniture, carpeting, wood products, mattresses, stoves, etc. • There will be a separate bin for white goods such as refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, dehumidifiers. • Tires will be accepted. The following list of items will NOT be accepted at the Goshen Street Department: • Paint (oil base), stains, etc. Latex (water base) paint is acceptable. • Paint thinners • Used oil/gasoline • Batteries, over two or three • Pesticides or herbicides, (insect or weed killers)• Asbestos insulation, (permit only) • Unlabeled drums containing any substance • Sealed pressurized containers (propane tanks, etc.) • Gasoline/fuel oil tanks • Resins or liquids • Medical waste • Contaminated soil There is no quantity limit. Items must be transported to the Street Department at 475 Steury Avenue; there will be NO curbside pickup. This program is for Goshen city residents only. IDs will be checked.
