Guiding Light to the Stars by Mark Gee was this years winning image for the very prestigious Harry Williams Astrophotography Trophy which is the biggest annual astrophotography competition here in New Zealand, this amazing full 360 degree seamless panorama captures numerous astronomical objects and phenomena within the one image. The main features are the The Milky Way, the Small Magellanic Cloud, the Large Magellanic Cloud and the Zodiacal Light which extends up from the horizon in the right side of the image, it truly is an epic image! congratulations to Mark Gee on a very well deserved win!
