Gul conducts whirlwind tour of Eidgah constituency Takes stock of various dev projects, announces Rs 50 lakh for lanes and drains SRINAGAR, JULY05: The Speaker Legislative Assembly, Mr. Mubarak Gul today conducted a whirlwind tour of different areas of Eidgah constituency including Rakh Colony, Sanglipora, Gujjarbal, Pandit Mohallah, Pompose colony and took stock various under construction developmental works. He was apprised that Rs. 1 crore has been spent on these development works. Mr. Gul also announces Rs. 50 lakh for lanes and drains in the areas. The speaker was accompanied by a team of high level officers from Srinagar Municipal Corporation, PDD and R&B Departments. During the tour Mr. Gul met with various deputations..They demanded proper maintenance and macadamization of roads, proper supply of drinking water and un-interrupted supply of power, upgradation of Middle school of Sanglipora to a High school and opening of a new Anganwari centre in the area. Mr. Gullisten to their demands sympatheticallyand directed the engineers and officers who were accompanying the Speaker for immediately repairing, renovation and replacing the old rotten electricity polls with new ones before the holy month of Ramzan.He also directed R&B, Engineers for construction of Lanes and Drains and proper maintenance of sewerage system. He also directed the Engineers of PDD for immediatelyinstallation of street lights at those places where they have gone out of order so that the people should not suffer during their prayers in Dargahs and Khankhas during the Iftkar and Sahri. He also directed the concern Engineers to pay immediate attention on the repairing and renovation including macadamization of lanes, drains and the dilapidated roads. Mr. Gul directed the CA&PD department for ensuring regular supply of LPG, Sugar, Rice and K.Oil during the month Ramzan. Mr. Gul also visited Pompose Colony, Palpora and directed the concerned SMC engineers to immediately start the macadamization and repair work of lanes and drains in the area which should be complete before the month of Ramzan.
