Gunmen Kidnap Beggar’s Children Unidentified gunmen operating within Coka Junction along Asaba-Benin Expressway, Delta State have kidnapped two children of a 37-year-old woman begging for alms in the area. The woman, identified as Lady Cecilia, in the early hours of Friday, broke down uncontrollably in tears when she discovered that her two kids who used to play around her opposite Ibuso-Ogwashi Uku road, Asaba were nowhere to be found. Eyewitness said that a group of young men in a Nissan Corolla Car with no number plate had, on Thursday evening, stormed the spot while she was deeply asleep and forcibly took the children into the car after shooting into the air to scare people away. Unconfirmed sources said that the beggar was divorced by her husband when she took ill. Upon her refusal to part with the two kids, she was said to have left with them under the pretense of going to her parents’ house
