Gunnar finished 8th at the PKRA Fuerteventura Slalom. Conditions - TopicsExpress

Gunnar finished 8th at the PKRA Fuerteventura Slalom. Conditions where crazy with winds around 40 knots with super choppy water. He was using the 7m2 Jet in the afternoons and the new Toxic 9m2 in the mornings before the winds began to blow full force. In 40knots and a course with short legs the Xenon Twin Tip was the better choice. Gunnar had this to say about the Event: "Well at least I am happy with another top 10 finish, even though my sights were set higher. It was my first time having to use a twin tip board for slalom. You cannot always prepare for conditions like this. It was a great lesson about being prepared for any eventuality in this fledgling discipline. I know what I need to work on for the next high wind venue, but the sights are set on the next stop: PKRA Turkey on the 22. August."
