Guns cause more than 60 percent of all domestic violence-related homicides nationwide, according to federal statistics. This was in an article by Maxine Bernstein in the Oregonian. I spoke to this woman. She sounded rational and not drunk or otherwise impaired. So I am hoping some idiot editor added these appallingly ignorant words to her story. If she is right, than we all clearly need our gun safes, NOT to protect our guns from theft, but to keep them locked up so they dont attack us in our sleep and steal our silverware. Could this be why newspapers have become quaint vestiges of the past? The Oregonian is now rating their reporters on how many people click on their stories and comment.
