Gunung Padang is a megalithic site located in Karyamukti village, - TopicsExpress

Gunung Padang is a megalithic site located in Karyamukti village, Cianjur regency, West Java Province of Indonesia, 50 km southwest of the city of Cianjur or 6 kilometers from Lampegan station. It is the largest megalithic site in all of Southeastern Asia. The survey believes that Gunung Padang is built in 4 different eras This sites has been carbon dated by Gunung Padang Integrated Research Team headed by Dr Danny Hilman (LIPI) dan Dr Andang Bachtiar in Indonesian Atomic Energy dan Independent lab in Florida, both lab has similar finding that its age at 11,300 years ago and some dated 22,000 years ago. Apparently this sites has been build on previously older structures. So making the Gunung Padang sites the OLDEST STRUCTURES in the WORLD. This confirm Dr Stephen Oppenheimer theory on The Sundaland Civilization which resides in the Sundaland Plains, which now is Java Sea, around 50,000 years ago. The Gunung Padang Structures could be the remains of that civilization. According to Oppenheimer, that the Sundaland Civilization was the first modern civilization, which created language, agriculture and animal husbandry. The structure beyond the Mount Padang structure is older than the upper structure. At a depth of 1-4.5 meters by Beta Analytic Radiocarbon Dating (BETA) the older (below) structure was built in 4,500 BC, and the upper structure around 500 BC. At a 4.5 meter depth there are stones with specie consisting of 45 percent ferrum, 15 percent clay, and the rest silica. The surveyor found a 10 centimetre steel fraction. In the Pawon cave in Padalarang [about 45 kilometres from Gunung Padang], we found some human bones and tools made of bones about 9500 years ago, or about 7000 BCE. So, if at 7000 BCE our technology was only producing tools of bones, how can people from 20,000 BCE obtain the technology to build a pyramid? the archaeologist asks. In archaeology we usually find the culture first … Then, after we find out the artefacts age well seek out historical references to any civilisation which existed around that period. Only then will we be able to explain the artefact historically. In this case, they found something, carbon-dated it, then it looks like they created a civilisation around the period to explain their finding. This shows me the assumptions and the linear thinking that clouds the issue. Theres no room for discovery here, according to this Archaeologist you cant have some catastrophic event that causes a people to stagnate or go backwards. The sack of Rome did just that and put us into the dark ages when it was conquered by illiterate people and much knowledge was lost. How can you discover a new culture when you look for existing civilizations to define artifacts and sites? Im holding out hope for Nugung Padang and Danny Hill. I hope they allow other people from other disciplines to join in this search. I also hope we dont have to wait 10 yrs for published information on the findings. It is disgusting that people who are supposed to be searching for the truth spend so much time protecting their cherished theories instead of investigating this amazing discovery. Thats one part of acedemic investigation I dont like. Just tell us what you found then you can go away and contemplate it to write up your conclusions, lol...
