GuocoLand among top 10 developers in Malaysia Jun 23, 2014 GuocoLand (Malaysia) Bhd, the property arm of the Hong Leong Group, has been named as one of the recipients of the BCI Asia Top 10 Developer Awards 2014 in Malaysia. The coveted award is a strong recognition and endorses GuocoLand Malaysia’s commitment to developing quality and innovative homes and developments that exceed all expectations. “Indeed, we are truly honoured and privileged to join the ranks among the 10 property developers in Malaysia,” said GuocoLand Malaysia Managing Director Tan Lee Koon. “2014 has been a turning point for us on the back of several major launches – the Damansara City integrated development in Damansara Heights and The Rise boutique bungalows in the Emerald township in Rawang,” he added. Going forward, Mr Tan said GuocoLand Malaysia was hopeful with its bid for the first phase of the Kwasa Damansara township development in Sungai Buloh. GuocoLand Malaysia, one of six developers who submitted their bids, has engaged a leading Japanese town planner for its proposal and concept development of the RM50 billion township. The BCI Asia Award is the second award won by GuocoLand Malaysia in as many months. In mid May, Clermont Kuala Lumpur, located within the landmark Damansara City development, won the 5-star Best New Hotel Construction and Design Award (in Malaysia) at the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2014-2015. The luxury 5-star hotel is expected to open its doors in 2016. Now in its 10th year, the BCI Asia Top 10 Awards recognizes the work of top developers in seven key Asia markets, covering Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam apart from Malaysia.
