Guy In Shorts 12/8/14 Killington Ski Conditions Clear blue sky day greeted the small Monday morning crowd. Parking lot was a frozen icy mess so we headed up to the snow to slide down for a Snowden Quad start. Chute warm-up had us trying to erase the fine work of the overnight tillers. Firm and fast with that soft powdery give that the snow gets at cold temps. Highline was delightful under the guns as character the slope has not been lost yet. Lower East Fall had an ice base with some death cookies thrown in for good measure. Summit temperature was 18 by the time we hit the peak. On Cascade the guns were off leaving lots of trademark cream cheese behind to carve up. Steep top of Superstar required a couple icy turns before snow was found. Lower section was its own funky fun snow gun world with huge manmade piles of white to carve up. Final run of the day at noontime on Chute we still found plenty of corduroy to carve up. New snow is on the horizon. Grade C+ Quote of the Day – What you thought was icy I kind of liked.
