Guys. Guys. If you want to truly make a game from scratch. Go ahead. Get going. Manufacture and build your own computer. Build a BIOS, a kernel and an OS for it. Build drivers for it. Build your own C specification (no POSIX compatible code, that would make things easy and not inventive). Then build your game and your assets. Hell, you can even use assembly. Just do it from scratch. Then, sell it. Go ahead. Its one of a kind. Congratulations. You made a game from scratch. You dont understand that games written in C++ or Java rely on literally MILLIONS of lines of code that you never even SAW. Not to mention C# and .NET, which easily increase that by the factor of 10 or 100. In comparison to that, Game Maker or Unity engines are drops of water in the sea. So shut up and get back to doing what you love.
