Guys, I am examining the Old Testament for works and I have found - TopicsExpress

Guys, I am examining the Old Testament for works and I have found something fascinating, I know in the Hoodoo tradition this sort of water working is common, but how do you guys feel about its real world application? Numbers 5:11-27 If a man even but suspects that his wife has cheated on him, even if this suspicion arises from his own jealousy, he should take her to the priest. The priest shall then place a cereal offering in her hands, for her husbands jealousy, not for her own guilt, and he shall prepare some bitter water, which is basically cursed water. As he is holding the bitter water, he says that if she has not cheated, she shall be immune to the curse but if she did cheat, her thighs will disintegrate and her belly shall swell. He writes these words, as a curse, on paper, washes them off into the biter water. Before having her drink this concoction, he takes the cereal offering from her (barley), waves it in from of the altar, then burns the offering on it. Now, she drinks the bitter water. Naturally, if she is guilty, the afflictions take hold. Ever done anything similar?
