It wouldnt take long for anyone to realize the when compared side by side to 6 of the continents heavyweights, Ghana (highlighted in red) actually seems to be doing quite well. For example: 1. Power Generation: Ghana seems to be outperforming countries like Nigeria, Kenya and Ethiopia. All of whom have bigger economies than ours. 2. Road Density: And also in the metric Ghana is outperforming Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt and Ethiopia. 3. Rail Density: Once again ghana is outperforming 4 of the 6 heavyweights on the continent. 4. Global Cities of the Future: Once again out of the 14 or 15 cities from about 9 coutries Ghana once again has two of the designated Global Cities of the Future (Accra and Kumasi) respectively. We need a sense of perspective in order to be able to put our current economic realites in proper socio-economic context relative to our neighbors and continent, since Ghana does not function in a vacuum but rather in a Global Economy.
