Guys...this is how easy it can happen. Young man in good shape, taken out of the game in 4 days. I say it all the time...BE PREPARED always. Dont ever go into the fold without BASIC survival items. If you are reduced to rubbing sticks together to start a fire, you are in store for a rude awakening. Its not as easy as it may appear. Even guys who are the best in the world at it, like Matt Graham sometimes cant pull it off. It is not an exact science. Basic items like a knife, ferro rod, aluminum bottle with water (can boil water) space blanket and a few energy gel packs can fit in a very small waist pack, along with other items.
