Gwelup Croatia S.C. has finalised its coaching structure for season 2015, welcoming Mike Ford to the club in the position of Senior (First Team) Head Coach. Mike has many years of coaching experience in this state, at both development and senior levels. His latest achievement was just as recently as September, helping guide Shamrock Rovers to the State League First Division Championship, as an assistant coach. The club looks forward to having Mike on board next year with the ultimate goal of winning silverware and building on the progress made in 2014. At Reserves level, Matt Catalano will continue in his role as coach, after overseeing a strong second half to last season, in which the second-string secured a respectable top-five finish. The club would also like to announce Gavin Knight as coach of its new Under 18s squad. This youth/development squad is designed to give youngsters a pathway into the Reserves and First Teams as the club looks towards the future, potentially at State League level. Pre-season training will commence in early January (date/times TBA). Trial dates for our under-18 squad will also be advised shortly.
