HABIR KHAN APPEALED THE HON’BLE CHIEF MINISTER FOR PROVIDING EX-GRATIA TO THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOST THEIR PROPERTY DUE TO HEAVY RAINS. Ex-Gratia for people who lost their property in Thanmandi, Manjakote, Rajouri proper.....be provided soon. Shabir Ahmed Khan Former Health Minister and MLA Rajouri has condoled the loss of lives due to heavy rains and landslides in District Rajouri and Poonch. Khan in a message said that “He is deeply saddened to learn about the bus accident carrying Barat, which fell into a nallah in Lam-Darhal area of Rajouri District, which have caused great loss of lives. Khan said that heavy rains are leading to flash floods at various areas/ landslides in certain areas of Rajouri District and Rajouri constituency in particular, which have caused loss of lives, injuries and damage to property of public. The heavy incessant rains played havoc in entire Jammu region during the past 48 hours and heavy loss is being noticed in different areas of Rajouri Constituency. Since a high alert has been sounded in the entire Jammu region where incessant heavy rains led to rise in water levels in almost all the rivers and streams and highways besides several link roads were blocked due to landslides and damage to bridges, telephone and power supply links snapped especially in the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. Wherein later have been cut off from the rest of nation, today. Khan said that The people from several low lying areas and residing on the banks of rivers in Rajouri and Poonch are should be evacuated to safer places and should take shelters in the houses of their relatives. Khan appealed the public to keep patience and follow directions of District administration. Moreover he cautioned them to stay alert during these rainy days and asked the general masses to provide shelter and food to the homeless people. Khan conveyed that Govt. is committed to provide each and every possible facility for the welfare of people. Khan also appreciated the DDC Rajouri Dr. Rajender Kumar and SSP Rajouri Sh. Mubassir Latifi along with the other District officers for their tireless efforts to carry on the rescue and relief operations at different places in Rajouri District. Khan also asked the people to take the benefit of the Helping centre for providing immediate help which has been established in DDC’s office Rajouri for the welfare of public. Khan appealed the Hon’ble Chief Minister of the state to provide the ex-gratia for those who have lost their family members and property due to this natural calamity. He reiterated that the State Government and other authorities are making all efforts to bring relief to those affected and also provide assistance to the people who have incurred losses. Khan conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. He prayed to the Almighty to give the families who have lost their dear ones, the strength to bear the irreparable loss. Sain Abdul Rashid Gen Secy. Congress and Shakeel Ahmed Mir, Molvi Gulzar Block Presidents along with the District Congress Committee Rajouri felt deep grief and sorrow over the loss of Lives and property due to heavy rains and flash floods.
