HABITS 5 3 Lessons from Daniels Case Study 1) Habits Do Not Hide: Even when you are at risk your habits will reveal themselves. Remember the bible said; Daniel was one of the first people who knew that the law has been signed, he knew the consequences, yet he couldnt change his habit. It wasnt just that he was against the king, or rebellious against the king or fighting against the king, his habit couldnt hide. That is one thing you are going to note about habits, they wont hide. That is why sometimes you can find a person whos marriage is being destroyed and they know the marriage is at risk, but the habits destroying the marriage cant hide. They pray about it, they go for counseling, but habits dont hide even when there is a risk involved. 2) Your Habits Decides Your Responses To Challenges: When you are faced with a situation, you will respond according to your habits. If Daniel did not have any habit of prayer, he would have laid low for the next 30 days and he would be fine. If he didnt have any habit of prayer, that threat will be meaningless to him. But he had this habit, so when he was faced with the challenge his habit was his first response. When you are faced with a challenge, you dont respond with intelligence you respond with habit. 3) Your Habits Determine The Outcome of Your Life: for Daniel, his prayer habit led him into the lions den. But that was not the end of the story, because the same habit that led him into trouble got him out. But if its not a good habit, the lions would have eaten Daniel. That was finally happened to the people who plotted the scheme against Daniel. Is like somebody who has a habit of honesty, integrity, people can set him/her up, but the same habit will deliver him/her. Before you blame a witch, your mother in-law, husband, wife, landlord, or you single ladies before you blame somebody else for your not being married or for your problems, look at the 90% of your habits and see wether where you are is where your habits has brought you.
