HALL OF MIRRORS How many hours of your life do you think youve spent in front of a mirror? If youre an average person, its probably quite a few. Basically, a mirror is something that gives back a reflection of whatever is before it, but have you ever entered a hall of mirrors at a carnival? If you have, you know that these mirrors are different, because the image they feed back is distorted. Many of you may be spending tormented nights in your own hall of mirrors. Like in the mirrors in the fun house, you dont see an accurate image of who you really are in Christ. Instead you see distortion and deception. What are these mirrors? There is the mirror of your own feelings, which can give you a very negative picture of yourself! Theres the mirror of other peoples opinions, which distorts and is not what God sees! Or, theres the mirror of finances which you can misread as a reflection of your stature in Gods eyes. What about the mirror of your own accomplishments? How accurate do you think it really is in relation to Gods priorities? Only one mirror is real...the mirror of Gods Word. As Paul says, ...all of us...behold (in the Word of God) as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever-increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another... (2 Corinthians 3:18, AMP). Tonight, dont fall asleep gazing into the distorted mirrors of the fantasy fun house. The image of who you are in Him is the only one that counts...and the only one that can change your life. So look to the mirror of His Word, see who you really are and be transformed! (REPOST A. MC)
