HALLEUJAH!!!! patsys power chair has been approved....we ve been working on getting this chair for her since May 9th, its been a nightmare, getting a company in network to make this special chair, (estimated cost of chair $27,000) the never ending request for medical reports, the challenge of being forced to change from employee benefits to cobra benefits during the middle of the process. This chair is not just for mobility, its designed to help support her neck & head, tilting to allow her shoulders to relax & open up her lungs to aid in breathing problems, automatic leg raisers to reduce swelling in her ankles & feet. Elevation to aid in getting her in & out of bed....in general gonna make her days more comfortable. Im so grateful I just wanna shout!!!! I didnt fight this battle on my own, Patty Joyce thank you for all the support & copies, & faxing , Sandi Marcus thank you for the information you sent me, the whole family for listening to me whine & vent frustration with the process & poor Patsy as she listened to me .....patiently be on eternal phone hold, plead, beg cry & scream on numerous phone calls, (she would look at me & just smile & shake her head) and most of all, the prayers from friends & family. I love you all.
