HAMMER - Another wonderful mastiff soul has crossed the Rainbow Bridge Almost three years ago today, my family met at the home of a Florida Mastiff Rescue Volunteer, and our lives changed forever. I had a three year old Mastiff of my own, Harley, and my parents loved the breed. Little did we know how much our rescue, Hammer, would fill our lives and bring us joy. Hammer and Harley became inseparable and weighing in at 205 and 170 pounds, respectively, they were quite the spectacle. The love of a dog is like none other and the love of a rescue dog is immeasurable. The happiness we felt in the three short years we had Hammy cannot be put into words. Even as he became weak because of the cancer, he would still come lay with me and put his head on my chest and lick the tears rolling down my cheek as if to say thank you for the incredible life you gave me. I would always look at him and say it was you that rescued us bud. Thank you to Florida Mastiff Rescue for bringing such a gift into our lives and hearts. Hammer will never be forgotten and his memory will live on through all the other rescued mastiffs that we help. Rest in peace, Hammy :)
