HAND OVER PARADE TIMING: As you are all aware by now the Hand Over parade will be on the 27th. November. I have recently been informed by the SSM that the parade is due to commence at 1700h. Private vehicles will now be allowed through the main gate of Lavarack barracks to accommodate some of our members with mobility problems. At the conclusion of the parade light refreshments will be served at a location close to the parade location, tea and bikkies, the main Black Hat function will be held at the Townsville RSL. STINGER BALL: As I have previously mentioned by the 27th. November B Squadron 3rd/4th Cavalry Regiment will no longer exist that is why the OC, Major Luke Dawson and the SSM, WO Richard (Freddy) Krieger, have allotted the week prior to the Stinger Ball, 31st. October, to mix with the younger soldiers, tour the compound, now with a large variety of armoured vehicles, listen to Contemporary Conflict briefings and enjoy the hospitality of the Scorpion Club, but most of all thank the people who have supported them through the trying times of many deployments. WARNING ORDER: Monday, 27th. We plan to kick off with a Golf Morning - Young soldiers V Old & Bold, followed by BBQ lunch at the Scorpion Club. This cost will be covered by our Association. Tour of the compound and Museum. Tuesday, 28th. On parade with the Regt. then Briefings on Unit History and Contemporary Conflicts. Informal Scorpion Club gathering. Wednesday, 29th. A.M. Free time - Lunch at TSV Yacht Club - Evening, Black Tie, Formal Dinner Officers Mess, Lavarack Barracks. Thursday, 30th. ASLAV, Bushmaster, Armoured Vehicle Display/Demo. Informal Scorpion Club gathering. Friday, 31st. B Squadron 3rd/4th Cavalry Regiments Association AGM. Prepare for the very last Stinger Ball.
